The next Bexhill Museum guided walk, Stepping Out around Crowhurst,
meets at 2.00pm on Wednesday 26th July in the public car park at the
Recreation Ground just below the Plough Inn, Crowhurst, Map ref TQ 760 117. The walk
follows a section of the defunct Bexhill West branch line looking at landforms and trees -species, distribution and form - to understand
previous and subsequent land use in the area. We'll also look and listen for woodland
birds and, on our return along the Powdermill Stream, for wetland species. Distance 2miles, 2 1/2 hours with a steep hill to start but then level. £3 adults, £1,50 accompanied children. Sorry, no dogs.
