The museum is delighted to be running two exciting events for children and families this autumn half-term. These hands on music and craft activities are inspired by our amazing collections of art from all over the world.
Tuesday 30th October from 2 – 4pm FREE World Music Workshop This special free event will be run by Musa M’Boob, Master Gambian Drummer and World Musician Phil Thornton. Have fun learning about African music, have a go at playing world music instruments, take part in a jam with the Master Drummer and make your own instrument to take home.
A FREE family drop-in activity suitable for children aged 4 to 13, no need to book just come along at 2pm or 3pm and join in! Special event funded by Rother District Council, part of our Stories of the World, Cultural Olympiad events for 2012.
Thursday 1st November from 2 - 4pm Indian Arts and CraftsTo celebrate the Museum’s vibrant Indian collections and the Indian festival season, come along to the museum and get creative making a special lantern for Diwali, animal collages and your own Taj Mahal!
Most suitable for children aged from 5 to 9 but open to all those who enjoy painting, cutting and sticking! Everything the children make they can take home with them. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
