Outings this Summer

Faversham and Whitstable, Kent

Thursday 14th July. First pick up 8.30 am.

First to Faversham for a guided tour of the conservation area where there are 475 Listed Buildings, then lunch at an historic inn, included in the price. After lunch, to Whitstable for a guided tour and then time to explore.

41 per person including morning coffee and lunch.

Maidstone Museum and Broughton Monchelsea Place, Kent

Wednesday 24th August. First pick up 8.30 am

Newly extensively enlarged with a wide variety of displays including Costume and Textiles and one of the largest collections of Anglo-Saxon material in the country.

In the afternoon a guided tour by the owner of Boughton Monchelsea Place, an Elizabethan Manor House dating from 1567.

30 per person including afternoon tea.

Clayton, Lewes and the Brighton i360 Observation Tower

Monday 26th September. First pick up 8.30

First to Clayton Village , views of the South Downs, the Jack and Jill windmills, a 12th century church with wall paintings etc with a history talk. The a drive to Devil's Dyke on the way to Lewes and the castle.

After lunch the  appointment to glide silently to 450 feet on the new i360, the world's tallest moving observation tower.

43 per person including morning coffee and the i360 ride.
