Stepping out to where the bombs fell (and where to shelter from them)

Distance: 3 Miles Duration: 3 hours
Leader: David Hatherell

This walk will zig-zag around the town centre and cover the highlights of the bombings of the WW2. From the blitz of 1940 to the tip and run raids of 1942 and 1943. Also covered are the various types of air raid shelters provided by the local authority in response to the changing circumstances of war.

Prices: £3 per adult, accompanied children: £1.50
We regret that no dogs are allowed on these walks.
The walk leaders are all Museum volunteers and all proceeds go to Bexhill Museum.
