Welcome to Bexhill Museum's Education Page!

Bexhill Museum offers visits to the museum, outreach to schools and guided walks.

We have developed a Teachers' pack which is now available online!

Teachers' Pack

Please note: Besides the topics described in our Teachers’ pack, we also run Enhanced sessions on:

  • The Stone Age
  • Smuggling (as part of a local history study)

Please contact for more information on this.

Other subjects are available by arrangement.

For general education enquiries please contact, or telephone 01424 222058.

At Bexhill Museum we offer a wide range of enjoyable and interactive Enhanced Visits for primary and secondary school students. Depending on your topic we can offer close contact/handling sessions in the Education Room, guided tours and activities in the galleries. With an Enhanced Visit you have the use of the Education Room for teaching sessions, storing bags and coats and for having lunch.  A Standard Visit is self-guided and an opportunity for you and your pupils to visit the Museum at your own pace. If required, for a small additional fee, our volunteers can offer a short talk appropriate to your topic (Standard Assisted Visit).
