Come and explore the world at Bexhill Museum, in celebration of our world art collections and the opening of A Global Gathering exhibition. As well as FREE entry into the museum for everyone, we will be running a series of FREE family craft and music activities.
Live Gambian Music Performance 12noon and 2pm The Museum are delighted to be hosting 2 live music performances by Musa M'boob Gambian Master Drummer and Musician.
The FREE activities below will run from 11am - 1pm & 2 - 4pm - these drop-in sessions are suitable for all the family to enjoy;
Kaiaimunu Man Sculpture - Group Craft Activity in the Park
Group drop-in activity to build a huge sculpture out of willow and paper, based on the Papua New Guinea 'Wicker Man' Kaiaimunu figure on display in the museum.
Shake, Rattle and Roll - Music Workshop
Have fun exploring and playing musical instruments from all around the world, even if you have never played an instrument before you can join in and take part in a world music jam!
Crafty and Creative - Recycled Craft Workshop
Make your own jewellery or wall decoration out of recycled materials, and explore the amazing Papua New Guinea display and look for objects made of recycled materials to inspire you.
Make a Shaker - Craft Workshop
Make and decorate a percussion instrument to shake and rattle in the world music workshop.

Classic CarsTo celebrate Bexhills motoring heritage six stuning classic cars will be on display outside the Museum in the Park.This Open Day is a partner event for 'Party in the Park' also taking place on Saturday 11th August inEgerton Park from 11am - 6pm
