Lecture, Bodgers and Badgers

Bodgers and Badgers, Museum Lecture

Badgers and Bodgers", by John Dowling is Bexhill Museum's next lecture on Wednesday, 16th November at 2.30pm in St Augustine's church hall, off Cooden Drive.
It will tell how a town campaign saved a much-loved but threatened local beauty spot for the enjoyment of the entire community & show how volunteers from Highwoods Preservation Society, a registered charity, have cared for the 87-acres as a wildlife habitat with free public access under a management agreement with Rother since 1980. But the centrepiece is the woodland itself, season by season. The rich diversity of flora & fauna researched by the society enabled the greater part to be granted Site of Special Scientific Interest status.
And the meaning of the title of the talk? All will be explained.....
