Stepping Out to recall the Roaring Twenties through housing in west Bexhill
This new walk will look at the development of housing in the west of the town chiefly during the 1920s. Proposed plans, both executed and abandoned, will be discussed. We will also hear stories about some of the people who were moving into the new houses during the period.
Meet: Outside Eras of Style Antiques (former Bexhill West station),
Terminus Road, Bexhill (map ref TQ 735 074).
Distance: 3 miles, 3 hours, but a shorter option will be available.
Parking: On roads around meeting point. Please do not park in front of Eras
of Style Antiques.
Public transport: Check bus timetables along Cooden Drive and train timetables for
